Four Things You Must Do Before Your First Cat Deployment

Storms are hard enough.  Showing up to your first storm unprepared is a recipe for disaster.

In this video I talk about the four big things you have to do before your first storm that will help you to hit the ground running.

Main Points:

1. You can't quit your day job.  But if you did, you need easy to get and easy to quit employment ASAP!
2. You absolutely must network.  IA firms won't call you if they don't know who you are and you have no track record.
3. Train, train, train.  Learn all you can about Xactimate, policy, and construction.  Scope your own or a friend's house and write up your own estimates.
4. Get your basic gear.  Don't spend a lot of extra money on rope and harness, drones, or other specialty gear that you definitely won't use on your first deployment.
